As we come into the warmer season, we start to use our air conditioners almost everyday in Queensland. To prevent your air conditioner from poor performance or not working at all we have answered some common questions below to help save you repair costs this summer.
Q. IT DOESN’T TURN ON?
A. Check the switchboard first then the switch outside by the outside box (the isolator)
Q. DO YOU HAVE FRESH BATTERIES IN YOUR REMOTE?
A. Just because the screen lights up, doesn’t mean it has enough power to send a signal. Make sure you replace your batteries regularly.
Q. DO YOU HAVE IT SET TO COOLING?
A. Make sure you have the air con set on the correct settings. Refer to the manual for correct settings. If you don’t have the manual google the make and model online for the manual.
Q. ARE YOUR FILTERS CLEAN?
A. Dirty filters will cause poor performance and potentially cost you more in electricity if you dont get your filters cleaned. You would be suprised how much of a difference it can make.
Q. IS THERE ANYTHING INFRONT OR BEHIND THE OUTDOOR UNIT?
A. Do not use the back of an outdoor unit to store plywood or put boxes etc infront of it.
