An eclectic haven, Paddington and its neighbouring suburbs are full of wondrous delights on every corner. Whether it be small cafes with baristas who know your name, florists with multiple stories to share, or boutique clothing stores with one of a kind earrings – it’s hard not to fall in love with the diverse culture that is Paddington.
With an array of great cafes it’ll make your Sunday brunch decision the hardest pick of your life. Chapter IV, located atop of Paddington hill is a hard not to love café. With its personable staff and deliciously unique but homely meals, you’ll be desperately wanting to stay for the lunch menu and then take home one of their baked goodies. They also boast juices from the crowning gem of Red Hill – Botanica. To kick off your Sunday brunch even more – Chapter IV is also fully licenced and hiding just behind their counter is a great selection of wines, beers and ciders.
Just down the road you’ll find an incredible selection of boutique stores including the inviting Flowers of the World. Entering this establishment will feel like an absolute dream with the calming music and sweet aroma of flowers. As noted on their website, their philosophy aims to ‘give customers a sense of wellbeing, and provoke a feeling of tranquillity.’ Being in their store, it’s hard not to notice just how much they uphold their personal and company values. Talking to one of the lovely ladies there, I was happy to learn their plans for the future of the establishment – and could see the start of this outside as two ladies started work painting the driveway with a gorgeous mural of flowers. The store also boasts a gorgeous feature wall behind the counter and a delicately floral inspired bathroom basin, as seen below. These interior choices instantly create a sense of comfort and well-being for any customer.
Whether you call Paddington home, you’re just visiting or you’re potentially looking at buying in these suburbs – it’s really hard not to want to spend your weekends in such a diverse part of Brisbane.
