2020 WINNERS | Easter Drawing Competition

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL ENTRIES - WHAT AN INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT JOB TO JUDGE!

Firstly, SPACE Toowong would also like to make a special thank you to Nancy our judge, and to Megan Grindstead, the after school art teacher at Toowong State School.

Megan embraced our competition and inspired all the Toowong State School children to create a terrific Easter masterpiece!

WINNERS

The Winners of the SPACE Property Toowong 2020 Egg-cellent Drawing Competition 2020 are announced below (with judges comments)

Winners 0-6 years

IRIS - age 6 - A very interesting artwork with delicate little drawings among bright expressive colour.  It tells some stories, the colours look great against the background card.

SPENCER – age 5 – A bold and visually striking artwork that is well developed with expressive use of materials.

HAMISH – age 3 – This collage of a musical bunny is very poetic and I like the combination of text, planets and musical notes among the composition.

Winners 7 -14 years

BEAU – age 7 – A very involved and original story is conveyed in the drawing with well-developed drawing skills and interesting use of the pop-open section.

LUCY – age 14 – Delicate rendering and a combination of bright colour and subdued tones make this illustration a pleasure to look at.  Enjoyed the humour of the bunny eating its decorations but not the eggs.

SASHA – age 10 – A delightful and quirky Easter-themed artwork with many stories to tell and ideas to convey.

A delightful collaboration of skills and ideas, with strong symmetry and a great combination of mixed media  elements.
