One of Brisbane’s oldest residential neighbourhoods is set to be revitalised by Keylin, an innovative Brisbane-based property development company creating communities in south-east Queensland.

Established on the founder’s core values of honesty, integrity and performance, Keylin harness a collaborative approach that drives the team and contractors to build outstanding lifestyle properties intended to enhance the way people live. Across the development scope, quality is at the heart of all Keylin projects, a spokesperson said.

Keylin’s latest project is Oria Spring Hill, which will offer elevated living and next-level design, the spokesperson said.

“Oria will uphold the grandeur and elegance of Spring Hill’s rich architectural heritage, pairing leading-edge design with a striking and modern Art Deco aesthetic,” they said.

“Atop a stunning vantage point offering sweeping vistas of the city, Victoria Park and Mt Coot-tha, Oria is bringing the character back to apartment living by featuring a bold design that pays homage to the Art Deco style woven throughout Spring Hill, allowing Oria to stand among the locale’s multitude of heritage-listed buildings.”

Director of Keylin Louis Cheung said Oria was all about bringing Spring Hill into the 21st century while honouring its history.

“It will be the link between the suburb’s past and its future. Our design pushes the boundaries with a modern interpretation of Art Deco for our exterior façade and also the interior design,” he said.

“We’ve paid a lot of attention detail and taken into consideration the wider influence of Art Deco on society beyond architecture—furniture, fashion and even jewellery. These are all elements we’ve incorporated into developing Oria to bring that character back into apartment living for interior design.”

Featuring a vertical garden facade, Oria preserves the legacy and heritage of Spring Hill while leading it into a new era of contemporary living.

The residential building comprises 113 stunningly appointed two- and three- and four-bedroom apartments, and three penthouses with rooftop terraces.

Having graduated from Brisbane Grammar School just up the road, Cheung shares a deep bond with the city and its people, understanding the importance of retaining the heritage and character intrinsic to Brisbane.

Cheung ‘sown vision for Oria is that it be nurtured into a bustling community on the city cusp where people can live, work, learn and play all within walking distance.

Located at 447 Gregory Terrace, Oria will “lead the renaissance of Spring Hill, a suburb that truly embodies a ‘walk-to-wherever’ way of life”, Keylin said.

Nestled between Brisbane CBD and the soon-to-be transformed Victoria Park, Spring Hill is a city-fringe suburb distinguished by historic buildings and spectacular uninterrupted views. It offers residents easy connectivity to healthcare precincts, quality education, vibrant dining and entertainment hubs. Within this thriving community hub, Oria will be the new standard in modern urban living.

Cheung said Oria was designed to meet a rising demand for larger inner-city dwellings better suited to growing families.

“There is a need for more three- and four-bedroom homes for families choosing to live inner-city and wanting to be closer to facilities like schools and hospitals,” he said.

“Some of Queensland best private schools are located inner-city and the commute from the outer suburbs is getting harder and harder.

“Plus, many children today have a number of extracurricular activities as well. So, there’s a great demand for family-style living closer to the city but there’s little opportunity available in Spring Hill.”

The Oria Spring Hill development comes at an exciting time for Brisbane as it builds its way into being the new ‘world city’, balancing old-world charm and character with modern design, just like Oria itself.

With Victoria Park frontage, Oria residents will have the best of Brisbane right on their doorstep when the 64ha parkland undergoes an $83-million transformation into Brisbane’s largest new park in 50 years.

Once completed, the Victoria Park precinct will include waterholes, wetlands, playgrounds and an abundance of trees and green space, completely reshaping the urban landscape.

The revitalisation of Spring Hill is an integral part of the future vision for Brisbane, and Oria will take pride-of-place overlooking the city as it continues to grow.
