Scout Leader Wins Award

At SPACE property we genuinely actively support the local community and it is extremely gratifying to see Adam Gray from SPACE Projects doing just this - devoting his time to promote, not just the group, but the Scouts in general.

"Prominent local real estate agent Adam Gray (pictured) has been recognised for his work with the Brisbane Central Scout Group with a Meritorious Service Award.

As secretary of the group Mr Gray has developed a strong network of local business supporters and helped promote and establish the group.

He joined the group when it started in 2012 and forged links with many major events in the region.  Brisbane Central Group Leader mary-Anne Burford said Mr Gray's enthusiasm had inspired fellow group leaders to the scouts.

"Adam is regularly one of the first people to put his hand up to provide voluteer support and time during community volunteering activities," she said.

"He is a wonderful example of what Scouting aims to provide to our youth members. He is kind and considerate, willing to help, willing to share knowledge and skills, active in his support, engaged in his local community and a genuinely kind and compassionate person.

"We are very lucky to have had his support for many years now. His efforts, energy and enthusiasm at our events is always fantastic to see as he is so very active in interacting with members of the public to promote not just our group but Scouts in general."
